Your Buddy Flight Adventure

Your adventure begins at Chicago Executive Airport, where you’ll meet your FAA Certified Flight Instructor. Your instructor will introduce both of you to the airplane and explain the procedures real pilots perform before, during, and after every flight.

Then the adventure begins!

The first student takes the front seat alongside the instructor, while their buddy enjoys the view from the back seat.

You’ll depart Chicago Executive Airport and head east toward the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline, then turn north and follow the scenic coastline toward Waukegan National Airport.

Along the way, the first student will experience the excitement of flying the airplane while their buddy enjoys the spectacular views from above.

Upon landing at Waukegan, IT’S TIME TO SWITCH PILOTS!

The two students will exchange seats, giving the second student the opportunity to take the controls for the return flight.

Departing Waukegan, you’ll head back toward Chicago Executive Airport, flying over the northern suburbs and enjoying an incredible aerial view of Six Flags Great America amusement park!

You’re Not Just Passengers – You’re BOTH Pilots!

During this hands-on experience, each student will have the opportunity to:

• Preflight the Airplane: Learn how pilots inspect and prepare an aircraft for flight.
• Taxi the Aircraft: Experience maneuvering an airplane on the ground.
• Talk to Air Traffic Control: Learn how pilots communicate with the control tower.
• Assist with Takeoff: Feel the excitement as the airplane accelerates down the runway and lifts into the sky.
• Fly the Airplane: Take the controls and perform various in-flight maneuvers under the guidance of your instructor.
• Enjoy Incredible Views: Experience the Lake Michigan shoreline, northern suburbs, and Six Flags Great America from the air.
• Share the Experience: Watch your buddy fly, then trade places and experience the excitement yourself!

Your FAA Certified Flight Instructor will be seated right beside the student flying, providing guidance and ensuring safety throughout the lesson.

The Perfect Adventure for Two!

The Buddy Flight Adventure makes an incredible experience for couples, friends, parents and children, siblings, or anyone who wants to share the excitement of aviation.

It’s also a fantastic introduction to flight training. Each participant gets to experience a real flying lesson, and if either of you decides to pursue a pilot’s license, this experience can serve as your first lesson!

Total Experience: Approximately 2½ hours, including preflight preparation, two flight segments, and a stop at Waukegan Airport to switch pilots.
